PAST = You can watch The Babymooners, on iTunes! OR on Amazon Prime (how do I link to that?!). OR visit THE BABYMOONERS to find out more. I used to make THE SPEW & A Couple of Astronauts. And I made Refinery29’s Expecting & more. My webseries, New York, Am I Right?, was rated #3 on Indiewire‘s “The 16 Best Web Series of 2016.” I directed and produced Sport Court, which was rated #6 on Indiewire‘s “The Best Web Series of 2017.” And a very, very, very, very long time ago I used to make art-y videos (click on those links to see those art-y vids).
PRESENT = I made a webseries for BRIC TV – it’s called Dinette and it premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival. WATCH DINETTE NOW! Read about it on Broadly, in Bust Magazine, on Brokelyn, on BRICtv, on INTO, Indiewire and Logo. Plus Emily Nussbaum of The New Yorker tweeted about it! Then she gave Dinette a little shout-out in the Thanksgiving issue of The New Yorker, calling it a SLEEPY GEM! And I had a blast being interviewed for Future Women by Angela Ledgerwood. It will be at a couple film festivals this spring: see it in Boston and Australia. In non-Dinette news: I run a teeny tiny, almost microscopic production company called Shortbits Productions. PLUS I make comedy with a small unit of comedians. We go by the name Bankrukt. We have made lots of videos. And our short film SHIVA premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2017. You can watch satellite episodes of it here: Sitting Shiva. Plus! Little pieces of THE SPEW are now online after years of them only being on a hard drive – and hopefully there’s more to come (it is a slow process and they aren’t PC at all – I’ve learned a lot!). WATCH NUNS ON THE RUNS – a Spew series! I was a 2018 Ryder Farm Film Lab resident. You can watch Soft Lockdown here. I finished a funny/sad movie about grief – it’s called Senior Escort Service. It’s currently on the festival circuit: it won the Visionary Award at Cinequest Film Festival in March, 2019, among other awards! Read the New York Times op-ed I wrote about making that movie. The movie was front page news in Lorain, Ohio. And you can listen to me talk about making the movie on Deep Night With Dale Seever.
